Memorial Day Weekend

I've yet to return to my pre-vacation blog posting schedule, and that makes me sad.

Despite this, I am pleased to report that I had a productive Memorial Day weekend.  I've only five more pages to transfer to Open Office Writer, although this takes more time than typing since I'm editing as I go.

I can foresee heavy swipes of a red pen on this draft already.  Part of the process.

The Great Return

Alright, so the vacation has been over for a while now, and yet the blog has been silent.  I've been busy with good news.  Dave got a one year position in New Hampshire and that took over life for a while.  We move in the summer.  In the meantime, there have been coats to buy, apartment listings to browse, and so on.  I am excited!

But I have been neglecting my writing.  Bad author, bad!  So I am happy to say that as of yesterday I have returned to transcribing my typescript to Open Office Writer.  The progress has been slow, but it is progressing.

Vacation

I'm heading to Ohio next week to visit family, so no progress tonight and in all likelihood, no progress or posts for the next week.  I've brought a volume of M.R. James and H.P. Lovecraft to sustain me.  Let's see how Dave and the dog do without me :)

Thursday

Another two pages of typescript transferred over to Open Office Writer. I have passed the 5k work mark. I will undoubtedly cut some of this out in later drafts, but with 10 more pages of typescript to go, I doubt this story will be under 5k words.

Tuesday

I was down for the count with this cold all day, but am starting to feel better. Better luck tomorrow I hope.
